CityXones App

CityXones was an interactive, local newspaper and information app created in 2018 by James O’Shea, Bill Parker, and Marisa Bryce. It was designed to curate the best local news and put it into a geographical context. It also conducted in depth journalistic projects that capitalized on data and geography to illuminate the news. Readers could quickly see the most important news and information happening in their neighborhood. CityXones’ goal was to become a digital front page and help people see where local news was breaking and to become more knowledgeable neighbors, citizens, and community members. It was terminated in 2023.
